Community Solar Comes to Glen Rock

Plug into a greener Glen Rock and save money on your electricity costs when you sign up for a Community Solar program.

WHAT IS COMMUNITY SOLAR?

Community solar gives everyone the opportunity to share the benefits of clean, renewable energy without the need to install expensive solar panels. That means both homeowners and renters are eligible for the program, whether they live in a house or in an apartment.

Community Solar projects are located on commercial rooftops, multi-family residential buildings, landfills, parking lot canopies, or other sites good for large solar arrays.

The power generated by these solar panels is credited to the subscriber’s electric bills.

Through New Jersey’s statewide Community Solar program, local community solar providers send clean renewable energy to PSE&G. By enrolling with a community solar program, you can help the state achieve its goal of 100% clean energy by 2050 – and enjoy lower electricity costs for 20 years with no disruption to your PSE&G service.

THINGS TO KNOW

    • Enrolling is fast, simple, and completely free.
    • PSE&G remains your utility provider and there is no disruption or change to customers’ PSE&G service. You’ll continue to receive a bill from PSE&G, which will show a credit for the solar energy allocated to you. There is no change to your PSE&G service.
    • For Glen Rock residents, you will receive a second bill from Arcadia listing your discounted cost of electricity, equal to the solar credit value applied to the PSE&G bill, but subtracting the discount.
    • Special preference for low- and moderate-income residents. There’s no income requirement, no credit check, and no impact to any existing assistance programs.
    • There are no hidden costs.
    • Customers can cancel at any time without a fee.
