Sidewalks Update

The Borough has received reports of private contractors going door-to-door inspecting residents' sidewalks and providing unsolicited repair estimates. Please be aware that the Borough does not permit door-to-door solicitation without a valid permit, and private companies are not authorized to determine whether sidewalk slabs are out of compliance with Borough standards.

The Borough neither recommends nor endorses specific private contractors for sidewalk work. If your sidewalk slabs have been marked for repair, we encourage you to contact the Department of Public Works (DPW) to schedule a visit from the Borough sidewalk inspector to review the markings and confirm which slabs require attention.
