Sidewalks Update

A new Sidewalk Complaint Form is available on the Public Works page of the Borough website. This form requires complainants to state their name, address, email address, and phone number, one address, the block and lot number of the sidewalk they are complaining about, a description of the sidewalk complaint, and option to upload pictures of the specific sidewalk. Residents may view the form here. This form will be the only way to submit a complaint moving forward. The Borough will no longer accept anonymous letters or emails, or multiple-address complaints. Any resident who needs help completing the form should call the Borough’s main office (201-670-3956) for assistance. As for residents whose sidewalks have already been reported to the Borough through an anonymous complaint, the Borough’s sidewalk inspector will have to review those complaints since the Borough has been put on notice of those conditions and faces liability in the event anyone is injured.
