Friends of the Glen Rock Public Library 2025 All*Star Readathon: A fundraiser benefiting the Glen Rock Public Library

The annual All*Star Readathon event, run by the Friends of the Glen Rock Public Library, generates funds for children's events throughout the coming year.  The All*Star Readathon helps enhance the children's book collection as well as provides financial support for special events like the Summer Reading Program, MP Music for Toddlers, Winter Scene Craft for Kids, Sensory Playtime and many more programs!  Your financial contribution to the All*Star Readathon provides essential financial support which makes our Library a special place for learning and fun for children of all ages!

All pre-school and elementary school children through grade 5 are encouraged to participate to the best of their ability regardless of how they participate in Glen Rock Schools (homeschooled children are welcome to participate). Participation and reading level awards are based on the number of minutes/hours read and will be given to successful participants. Apart from individual recognition, the highest participating Elementary School in Glen Rock (based on number of participants) and the highest participation rate per grade in each school will be recognized.

The Annual 2025 All*Star Readathon begins on Sunday, March 2, 2025 with a reception for participants and their sponsors at the Library from 2 - 4 PM where the Friends will serve light refreshments and be available to help with online registration.  March 2nd is also the  start of Read Across America Week and we will have various members of the Community doing “Read Alouds” in 15 minute intervals. The All*Star Readathon reading continues until Saturday, March 29, 2025. The last day to submit donations and minutes read is on Friday, April 11, 2025.
