Curbside Recycling

Glen Rock has a Borough Ordinance requiring residents to recycle specific materials; this means the items below must be separated from garbage and rubbish for curbside pickup on specified days or taken to the Recycling Center on Doremus Avenue.
Materials to be recycled include:

  • Aluminum
  • Tin
  • Plastic containers, jars and bottles
  • Glass containers, jars and bottles
  • Newspaper
  • Magazines & Books
  • Junk mail
  • Cardboard

Please refer to the scheduling tab for more information about curbside recycling days.
Please note:  Residents who place recyclables in their garbage cans for regular rear yard pickup are in violation of the Recycling Ordinance. This may result in not having your garbage cans emptied until the materials are removed and recycled and, in addition, you may receive a summons for a court appearance, resulting in a heavy fine.
