Glen Rock Jaycees
The Glen Rock Jaycees is a nonprofit
organization that has been sponsoring and supporting a variety of
community activities in Glen Rock and surrounding communities for
decades. Activities that benefit the community, and for fun,
include:

The organization relies on Jaycees members who volunteer their time
throughout the year to help plan, promote, and work at the various

Belles & Beaux Square Dance Club
Belles & Beaux Square Dance Club, which
dances at the Central School on Maple Ave., has been in existence for
30 years. Our dances are held twice monthly, a $6 admission pays
for dancing, refreshments and socializing with friendly people.
Basic lessons, taught by an experienced caller, start in
September. Completing the course will open up the World of
Square Dancing, which is great for aerobic exercise, sharpening the
memory and meeting people. partners are not necessary and all
ages are welcome. Some of our annual events include a Mystery
Bus Ride and a Murder Mystery Play, with audience participation.

Rock Riders - Motorcycle Club of Glen Rock
Want to join us for weekend rides and BBQ's,
enjoy riding with a group of riders who like to unwind with a ride

Glen Rock Women in Community Service (W.I.C.S.)
The Glen Rock W.I.C.S., a member of the General
Federation of Women's Clubs, is a not-for-profit, community service
organization which welcomes new members. W.I.C.S. sponsors
numerous Glen Rock community events including the spelling bee for 4th
and 5th graders, the blood drive at Central School each spring, the
Halloween parade, with support from our Chamber of Commerce, and
semi-annual food drives at Kilroy's Market. The club has
sponsored youth sports teams in town, awards and annual scholarship at
Glen Rock High School and has donated funds to numerous local
organizations. W.I.C.S. is also active in many ways perhaps less
visible to the community. Our members deliver meals for the
local Community Meals program, raise money and donate gifts to Shelter
Our Sisters, provide holiday dinners for Ridgewood Social Services and
the Center for Food Action, and support the Emmanuel Cancer
Foundation. New community service initiatives are always being
considered.
The club meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 8:00 pm at the

lose weight and get in shape, this Glen Rock, New Jersey club has
become the newest popular team in town. Whether you are a
seasoned triathlete, a runner, swimmer, or cyclist, or just

MOMS Club
The MOMS Club of Glen Rock provides
acivities and support for mothers and their children in the Glen Rock
area. The Glen Rock chapter is the local chapter of the larger
international MOMS Club, a non-profit support organization created
specifically to meet the needs of today's at-home mom.
Each month, the club offers a variety of activities, which usually
include an outing to a local show or venue, a kids' craft, a cooking
activity, a playdate at a park or member's home, and a MOMS Night Out,
as well as quarterly parties and special events. Recently, the
club hosted a traveling zoo, a pediatric dentist, and a contractor to
discuss tips on a successful renovation. In coordination with
its monthly member meetings, the club offers discussion groups to
provide members with information on particular topics of interest,
including 529 plans, local preschools, tips on disciplining your
child, and carseat safety. The club also hosts service projects
throughout the year to benefit local children and families in
need. All club activity takes place during the week, and
children are always welcome.

Glen Rock Garden Club
The club was organized by interested gardeners in 1923 and has met
on the third Tuesday of every month, except July and August. The club
was incorporated in 1967.
The annual plant sale held on the Saturday before Mother's Day at
the Glen Rock Main Line railroad station supports the varied
activities of the club: decorating the Public Library and Municipal
Building for the holidays, purchasing books and magazines related to
horticultural subjects for the Library, participating in G.R.E.E.N.
and other community projects (i.e. I.D.A. activities), supporting the
work of the Friends of the Glen Rock Arboretum, as well as assisting
in beautifying the borough.
The Club continues the education of its members through discussion
and exchange of information and through lectures by experts on topics
related to gardening and allied subjects.
Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month (except July and
August) at the Glen Rock Annex Building, 678 Maple Avenue, Glen Rock
at 7:45 P.M.
Meetings are free and membership is open to all residents of Glen
Rock and neighboring towns without regard to sex, race or handicap.
Annual dues are $10.00 per family.

The Glen Rock Woman's Club
The Glen Rock Woman's Club serves the residents of Glen Rock
through local organizations such as the Volunteer Fire Department, the
Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, the Volunteer Ambulance Corps.,
the Public Library and other special projects such as Friends of the
Arboretum and the Fourth of July parade.
We are a member of a larger organization, N.J. State Federation of
Woman's Club.
At the Glen Rock High School Academic Awards Assembly, two and
sometimes three seniors receive awards for outstanding achievements in
math and choral music.
Members are also encouraged to develop personal talents in other
areas.
We meet the first Monday every month, October through July, 12:30
at the Annex to discuss these activities and to meet with friends.

Stamp Club
The Glen Rock Library Philatelic Trading Post, a stamp club for
adult hobbyists, meets the first Monday of every month at 1 p.m. at
the Glen Rock Public Library. Anyone interested in joining is asked to
register by calling 670-3970.
Glen Rock High School Boosters Club
The Glen Rock High School Boosters Club provides community and
financial support and fosters the extra-curricular activities of Glen
Rock High School students.
The Boosters Club Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month
in the health room of gymnasium at 8:00PM.

The Activities Club of Glen Rock
The Activities Club is made up of retired and semi-retired men of
Glen Rock and surrounding communities. The club is a not for profit,
non-political and non-sectarian organization. The primary purpose is
to give each member the opportunity to meet with others where they may
enjoy fellowship and friendship, and share leisure time activities.
Some of the current activities are bowling, bocce, golf, genealogy,
computers, bridge, personal finance, trips and tours with spouses,
social events with spouses, photography, lunch bunch, music, and
others as needed.
A membership meeting with a speaker is held at 1:30 pm monthly on
the third Tuesday of each month at the Fellowship Hall at the
Community Church of Glen Rock.

Glen Rock Senior Citizens Club
The club's purpose is to promote friendliness and companionship, to
further creative and recreational activities, to share common
interests and problems, and to find new outlets for personal abilities
and interests.
The Glen Rock Senior Citizens Club has a short meeting each Wednesday
at the Annex at 1:00 pm followed by refreshments and activities. The
Glen Rock Senior Citizens Club is a non-profit club. For more

Glen Rock Athletic Club
Purpose:
1. To look after the physical, mental, and social welfare of its
members.
2. To promote good fellowship.
3. To promote the interest of its members in athletics.
4. To provide opportunity for its members to participate in athletic
pursuits.
5. To sponsor and conduct worthwhile athletic programs within the
Borough of Glen Rock and elsewhere.

Fifty-Plus Club
The Glen Rock Jewish Center www.grjc.org
offers
special programs and events of particular interest to congregants and
guests aged fifty and older. These activities have included trips to
concerts, plays, museums, historic walking tours, and weekend
getaways. Guest speakers also are scheduled for lively discussions
with Fifty-Plus Club members. Local authors are featured, as well as
experts on topics such as travel, health, and senior benefits

Glen Rock Newcomers & Neighbors
For those new to town, you will soon discover why Glen Rock is one
of the most sought after places to live in Bergen County. Many credit
its small town charm and its close proximity to Manhattan as two
of its greatest assets. It is a very caring community, with lots of activities
for families and a top-rated school system. This town also
boasts an integral and active
community organization, the Glen Rock's Newcomers & Neighbors club
which
brings new neighbors and old friends together with exciting activities throughout the year.
The Glen Rock Newcomers & Neighbors Club has more than
250 member families and is open to those new to Glen Rock as well as its long
time residents. The club publishes a monthly newsletter and a membership
directory, which helps everyone to more fully enjoy the numerous social and
family activities that are planned each month. We have many popular
events, including Ladies Night Out, Baby Brunch, Progressive Dinners,
Playgroups, Wine and Cheese Socials, Holiday Parties, Picnics, Book Clubs,
Music, and Kids and Kids in Motion.
The events are a lot of fun and a great way to meet new
